Visit of UNDP Representative to CROMAC
On Wednesday, March 2, 2010, Chief Technical Advisor of UNDP to the Republic of Croatia Mr. Hans Risser with associate visited the Croatian Mine Action Centre. Deputy Director Mr. Mirko Ivanušić and Head of Plan and Analysis Department Mrs. Nataša Mateša Mateković informed the guests about mine action n the Republic of Croatia and work of the Croatian Mine Action Centre. The guests expressed special interest in planning of mine action activities. After the meeting, the guests visited the CROMAC Scan Centre.
Directly and through their programs (UN-VTF, UNDP-MAAP and UNDP) UN has been constantly supporting mine action in the Republic of Croatia. The last donation was intended for demining of agricultural areas in the Town of Petrinja in Sisak-Moslavina County and Promina Municipality in Šibenik-Knin County in the amount of 171.000,00 USD from 2008.
