Promotion of the Brochure "Possibilities and Rights"
The brochure ''Possibilities and Rights'' intended for persons with disability – mine victims was promoted on April 14 in the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare. State secretary Mrs. Dorica Nikolić spoke of the brochure on behalf of the sponsor and the host. Mrs. Nikolić emphasized the importance of such brochure with all relevant information at one place that provide thematic and content-related assistance to a large number of users as well as institutions providing for mine victims.
On behalf of the Ministry of Family, Veterans and Intergenerational Solidarity, the promotion was attended by Mr. Mladen Lončar. CROMAC deputy director Mr. Mirko Ivanušić explained that the need for such a brochure has been expressed by several subjects on different occasions and it was finally made upon their request. Mr. Ivanušić expressed his gratification to the donor, Sisak-Moslavina County, that financed the publishing of the brochure in 2 000 copies. He thanked all the associates from different institutions – editorial board, especially Mine Aid association and Mrs. Marija Breber who put an emphasis on the part of the brochure relating to the list of all relevant institutions, ministries, associations with branch offices that provide a complete insight with almost 500 addresses and telephone numbers.
Apart from the brief introduction on mine situation in the Republic of Croatia, the brochure consists of chapters relating to the rights as per disability, rights of civilian and military war victims, rights of deminers and persons equated from the disability and death basis with a number of interpretations of legal framework and relevant issues of the national gazette.
The brochure has so far been distributed to different institutions that will be responsible for distribution to the local level: Croatian Pension Insurance Institute, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integrations, Zagreb City Health Care and Veterans Office, Croatian Union of Associations of Physically Handicapped Persons, CPHI-Department for Professional Orientation and Selection, Mine Aid association, Union of Associations of Civil Victims of Homeland War of Croatia, Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, Karlovac County Mine Victims Association, Croatian Red Cross, Office of the Ombudsman for Persons with Disability, Ministry of Family, Veterans and Intergenerational Solidarity and interested Parliament representatives and individuals.
