"Socio-Economic Reintegration of Civil Mine Victims"

12.07.2010

In the framework of the project ''''Socio-Economic Reintegration of Civil Mine Victims'' in the Republic of Croatia implemented by the consulting firm Sintagma and financed by the International Trust Fund for Demining and Mine Victim Assistance (ITF), at the end of July 2010, it is planned to organize the second out of three planned seminars in Slavonski Brod intended for civil mine victims.

As the Ottawa Convention signatory, the Republic of Croatia ratified the Convention in 1998 and fulfilled its commitments through destruction of AP mines in three phases, conclusively with 2002. According to the Ottawa Convention, mine victims are not only the direct casualties but also their family members. Therefore, they are free to take an active part in the implementation of the seminar.

The aim of this seminar is to support the social reintegration of victims into their local communities in a way to transfer the skills and knowledge and explore the use of their own potentials.

Taking into consideration the limited number of seminar attendants (15), all interested seminar users can apply and obtain all the relevant information on the time, venue and methods of seminar implementation at the phone number 035/361-947 every working day from 08:00-16:00 hrs.
