Representatives of the U.S. Embassy visited Slavonia to define new projects

On Friday, 16 July 2010. , Mr. Christopher T. Zimmer, Counselor for Political Affairs at the U.S. Embassy in Zagreb, and Mr. Miljenko Vahtarić, assistant director of Croatian Mine Action Centre, visited five locations of potential projects to be financed from the government of the United States through the International Trust Fund from Ljubljana (ITF).
In Vukovar-Srijem County they visited the area of Stari Jankovci, Antin village in the municipality of Tordinci and Ostrovo and agricultural areas in Sodolovci and Hrastin in Osijek-Baranja County.

Total assets planned for this kind donation is worth around 5 million Croatian Kunas. Government of the United States since 1998 to date has helped the demining in the Republic of Croatia with a total of 20.5 million U.S. dollars, and is ranked one of the largest foreign donors funding for mine clearance in Croatia.
