The educational materials given by Mr Raschka warns about the danger of mines, are presents results after demining operations financed by means of the Federal Republic of Germany last year. The pictures show extracted anti-personnel (AP) and anti-tank (PO) mines located in the area and the Paulin Dvor and Šodolovaci.

After the meeting, they visited a location of the potential demining project that would be financed by the Federal Republic of Germany funds through the ASB. Size of the project is 108,516 square meters, and the project name is: “The area along the Grand Canal Osatina municipality Šodolovci, Osijek-Baranja County”.

A positive factor is that the surface of this project rest on surfaces that have been recently on July 16th 2010 visited by Mr. Christopher T. Zimmer, Counsellor for Political Affairs U.S. Embassy in Zagreb, and Mr. Miljenko Vahtarić, assistant director of Croatian Mine Action Centre.

By demining of both surfaces the known minefields would be removed and the safe zone would be created which would allow the continuation of agricultural production and development. Both areas are owned by several private persons in the Municipality Šodolovci. Continuing the long-term good practice CROMAC provides maximum technical and other support required to all potential and current donors like these direct contacts on the ground, which establishes a complete and transparent relationship to the level of end-user demined areas.
