Certificate of Appreciation of the National Protection and Rescue Directorate


Today, December 3, 2014, the National Protection and Rescue Directorate awarded the certificates of appreciation for the ''Special Achievements in Protection and Rescue on the Territory of the Republic of Croatia'' in 2014. Attended by the envoy of the president of the Republic of Croatia, representatives of executive and legislative power of the Republic of Croatia, local community and representatives of foreign countries this year's ninth official award ceremony was held under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Croatia Ivo Josipović, Ph.D., and Ministry of Interior. The event took place in the festival hall of the Public Open University in Krapina.
On the aforementioned occasion, the Croatian Mine Action Centre (CROMAC) was awarded the Certificate of Appreciation for the professionalism, dedication and humanitarianism in performing tasks, providing assistance and rescue of population and property in the flood-stricken areas of Županjska Posavina this year.
The experts of the Croatian Mine Action Centre (CROMAC) promptly established contacts with competent services in charge of endangered population rescue activities. In addition, CROMAC, Mine Action Centre of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Republic of Serbia founded the joint committee responsible for monitoring over the situation in the field and co-operation in removal of consequences this year’s floods have caused inside the suspected hazardous area (SHA).
