Co-ordination Meetings with Local Community Representatives

In the period 20-27 January 2015, the teams no. VI and VII, in charge of conducting general survey and project designing, visited the municipalities of Zemunik Donji, Posedarje, Promina and Hrvace and the towns of Skradin and Drniš in accordance with the new methodology of collecting data on SHA status and preparing demining projects for agricultural areas. The meetings were attended by war veterans, witnesses of war events, members of hunting associations, representatives of Croatian Forests Ltd. and individuals willing to share information on placing and removal of minefields. The meetings were chaired by the head of CROMAC Regional Office South, Josip Čerina, Ph.D. He informed the participants about activities planned for the forthcoming period as well as achievements made so far on the territory of local self-administration units. Considering the fact that CROMAC is currently preparing projects for the remaining agricultural areas the counties intend to nominate for the funds in the framework of the Fund for Rural Development, it was an opportunity for the mayors and municipality heads to be informed about the course of project designing process. At the end, the meeting participants visited the demining sites on the above-mentioned locations.
