Lecture "Mine Danger" Held in IIIrd Gymnasium in Osijek


On March 16,2015, the Demining Committee of Lions District 126 Croatia, in co-operation with Lions Club Beli Manastir and Croatian Mine Action Centre Regional Office East organized and held the lecture entitled 'Mine Danger'' in the IIIrd Gymnasium in Osijek.
With this action, the Lions Club Beli Manastir continues the co-operation with CROMAC through active involvement in the action ''April month of protection against mines''.
The action was supported and participated by Croatian Red Cross Osijek City Association (Daria Zubovi), Lions Club Beli Manastir (Miroslav Kosanovi and Dubravko Kruarovski), Ministry of Interior, Osijek-Baranja Police Administration, Anti-explosion Department (Mario Koki) and Croatian Mine Action Centre Regional Office East.
The lecture was attended by ca. twenty thrird and fourth grade students of the IIIrd Gymnasium in Osijek.
The program consisted of lectures on mine danger held by employees of the Osijek-Baranja Police Administration, Anti-explosion Department, representatives of Red Cross and CROMAC, head of CROMAC Regional Office East Mr Dubravko Kruarovski. The students were informed about mine problem, demining and marking situation in the Republic of Croatia, Osijek-Baranja County and City of Osijek. They also saw a short film about the Ottawa Convention.
