Second Addendum to Grant Contract for IPA 2013 Signed

Second Addendum to Grant Contract for financing the implementation of project De-mining of socio-eonomic infrastructure in Lika-Senj, Sisak-Moslavina and Zadar County has been signed between the Croatian Mine Action Centre (CROMAC) and Central Finance and Contracting Agency (CFCA). The project is a part of EU IPA 2013 Programme, Component I Transition Assistance and Institution Building.
Second Addendum to Grant Contract implies financing demining operations on additional 48.000 m2 on the wider area of Komarevo settlement in Sisak-Moslavina County.
Grant Contract was signed at the end of April last year. Funds allocated through Grant Contract and first Addendum were used to demine 4,58 sq.km. of suspected hazardous area on the territory of Lika-Senj, Sisak-Moslavina and Zadar County.
According to Grant Contract, the EU grant totals 3.159.000,00 EUR while the rest of the funds were allocated from the State Budget.
It is important to mention that the realization of demining operations as per five completed projects is accompanied by a considerable number of detections. Namely, 512 AP mines, 55 AT mines and 75 pieces of different types of unexploded ordnance have so far been found and destroyed.
