Mine Risk Education in Mošćenica


With reference to the April – Month of Protection against Mines, an education about mine danger was also held in the Mošćenica village, part of Petrinja municipality. Officials from Petrinja police precinct and Croatian Mine Action Centre, in front of Dragutin Tadijanović elementary school, presented there to the students of all classes existing mine danger situation in the area.

The students have shown great interest for exhibited topic, based on the amount of numerous questions asked, and were advised on a respectful behaviour towards mine danger warning sings.

Furthermore, troughout Police department „Less arms, less tragedies“ program, attendants were encouraged to voluntarily turn in their weapons and ordinance leftovers, with intention to create a safer household environment.
