The Ukrainian delegation visited CROMAC

CROMAC Director Draen Jakopec and his associates hosted a delegation from Ukraine including Oleh Bondar, deputy director of Emergency response department of the State Emergency service, Oleksandr Bilotil, director of Civil protection training center, Illya Sild, sector deputy head for Mine action of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Mykola Piankovsky, deputy director for management and planning of Mine Action Centre in the Ukrainian army, Oleksandr Bukhanchenko, head of the Anti-explosive Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and Anton Shevchenko, OSCE coordinator for Ukraine.

The guests from Ukraine were informed about the mine action system of the Republic of Croatia, especially with the mine situation, CROMAC mine-information system (MIS), the accreditation process of legal entities for conducting demining works and the law regulations relevant to humanitarian demining in Croatia.

The delegation also visited Kotar forest working site where they were demonstrated with practical mine clearance operations regarding demining maschine and deminers work along with their equipment.

Guests will also be given a tour of the test polygon in Cerovac in addition to demining machines testing, the presentation of the testing possibilities of equipment and training opportunities for experts in the sphere of mine action (EOD 1-3 +) by the HCR CTRO.

According to visiting program, the Ukrainian delegation is also scheduled for Karlovac County tour combined with a reception from the County mayor, Mr. Vui, as the example of very good cooperation between the local community and CROMAC.
