HCR CTRO begins training on working with UXO - 1st stage

HCR Centre for testing, development and training opened the applications deadline for the first stage of training on working with UXO, which lasts until October 7, 2015, while the beginning of the training is planned for October 12, 2015.
To enroll in the training program on matters of detection and removal of unexploded ordnance (UXO) it is necessary to meet one of the following conditions:
a) completed basic training for deminers or
b) to be a member of the engineering troops of the Ministry of Defense and Anti-explosive Department of the Ministry of Interior who is at least 3 years engaged in the work of detecting UXOs or
c) to be a member of the civil defense that at least 3 years work on tasks of detecting and disposing UXOs.
For the registered candidates for the higher level who have not completed the previous level of training, in order to verify their knowledge and skills that is readiness to attend the training of higher level, the HCR-CTRO will organize an entrance exam before the beginning of the training.
The theoretical part of the course will be carried out in Zagreb in a modernly equipped classroom, and each lesson will be provided with the required amount of teaching tools of good quality. The practical part of the training will be conducted on the test site Cerovac near Karlovac that meets all the didactic and safety standards to carry out practical training and on selected demining area.
All participants that pass the exam will get a certificate of completion of an appropriate level of training and passed exam, in Croatian and in English. This educational project is adjusted to the International Mine Action Standards (IMAS 09.30) and the guidelines of the European Committee for Standardization (CEN - CWA 15464 / 1-5). Training for II. level of UXO is planned for January 2016, and training for the III. level of UXO is planned for March 2016.
