4.5 million HRK to Brod - Posavina County for the demining of agricultural land

On September 28, 2015, the Agency for Payments in Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development, on the basis of Article 17, paragraph 2, point 2 of the Ordinance on granting support for the "Demining of agricultural land" from the Rural Development Programme of Republic of Croatia and the tender for the submission of applications for support from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) - reached a decision on allocation of funds to Brod – Posavina County.

After conducting an open public procurement procedure that was completed by passing a decision on the selection of a consortium NEUTRAL d.o.o. Osijek, BAK UNIJA d.o.o. Zagreb, FOSSIO d.o.o. Požega, LOCO d.o.o. Slavonski Brod, MAPER d.o.o. Bjelovar, TAURUS RAZMINIRANJE d.o.o. Karlovac, TITAN d.o.o. Požega and Torpex d.o.o. Osijek and with signing of the Contract on demining according to the project «Agricultural areas in Brod – Posavina County», with layout area of 857,425 m2, with a total value of 4.501.481,25 HRK, the Agency conducted the administrative processing of applications for support, which established that the Brod - Posavina County met the conditions prescribed in the regulations and in the tender.

With aforementioned Decision on allocation of funds, Brod - Posavina County is awarded with grant in the amount of 4.524.106,25 HRK for the sub-measure 5.2. «Support for investment in the restoration of agricultural land and production potential compromised by natural disasters, adverse climatic conditions and catastrophic events»/Operation «Demining of agricultural land».

The decision on the allocation of funds is the final administrative step preceding the introduction of the contractor with the tasks that is with the beginning of demining activities.

Let us recall that this is the third decision on funds allocation to support demining of agricultural land, which of six counties that applied, Karlovac, Sisak - Moslavina and Brod – Posavina County so far received funding. Lika - Senj, Osijek - Baranja and Požega - Slavonija County expect the same in the future.
