Advanced officer training students visited CROMAC


Accompanied by engineering teacher, Captain Marko imi, seven participants of advanced officer training from the Croatian Military Academy "Dr. Franjo Tuman" have visited the Croatian Mine Action Centre.

The aim of the visit was to familiarize students with the organizational system and activities of the Croatian Mine Action Centre with a goal of achieving better cooperation in education and training of officer candidates and Croatian Armed Forces officers.

After the opening words of greeting and welcome by the Director Draen Jakopec, the participants were presented with the mine action system by Miljenko Vahtari, assistant director, with a special emphasis on the organizational structure and public authority of CROMAC, sources of funding for demining operations, defining and marking of mine suspected areas and the use of MIS portal.

Participants were also introduced with the activities of the scan center and they visited the site in the Glinske poljane area where they were presented with the demining works, supporting documentation and quality control system by the department chief Davor Laura.
