Canadian Ambassador visited the Croatian Mine Action Centre


On December 17th, Croatian Mine Action Centre hosted His Excellency, Mr. Daniel Henry Andrew Maksymiuk, the new Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Canada to the Republic of Croatia. During his visit, Mr. Maksymiuk was introduced with the organization, activities and achievements of the Croatian Mine Action Centre and reviewed former cooperation between the CROMAC and the state of Canada. Furthermore, on mentioned occasion, he has also expressed his attitude about increasing efforts towards partnership between Croatia and Canada, with the ultimate aim of providing assistance, based on the experience and expertise of CROMAC, to other mine-contaminated countries. Ambassador's visit, accompanied by the Director of the Office for Mine Action of the Government of the Republic of Croatia, Mrs. Pleština ended with joint tour of the demining project site of agricultural land in Nova Drenčina village.
