Mine Risk Education in Šibenik - Knin County

In accordance with the annual plan, from 15 to 17 February 2016, officers of the Šibenik-Knin Police Department and CROMAC held an education at the elementary schools in Čista Velika (Vodice), Unešić (Municipality Unešić) and Gradcu (Municipality Ružić) mine risk and residual weapons. Education was held with the aim to inform students as one of the most vulnerable groups of risky and proper behavior in the vicinity of mine suspected areas.
An educational cartoon "Plop" was shown to the school children, they were introduced with mine suspected areas of the Republic of Croatia and Šibenik-Knin County, academic models of mines and ammunition and mine warning signs, while educational material was also given to them. Education was conducted by Goran Jakovljević and Josip Dražić from the Šibenik- Knin Police Department and Smiljan Galić from CROMAC.
