EAFRD Call for support for demining of agricultural land, worth 210 million kuna, has been announced


On the May 4th 2016, Paying Agency for Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development announced the call for applications for support from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) regarding the grant for "Mine clearance of agricultural land" as a part of the 2014th-2020th Croatian Rural Development Programme.

The subject of the competition is the allocation of funds concerning the demining of agricultural land which is part of the Rural Development Programme within the M05 measure "Restoration of the agricultural production potential of the areas damaged by natural disasters and catastrophic events and introduction of appropriate prevention activities" and Sub-Measure 5.2. "Investment support regarding the areas deteriorated by natural disasters, adverse climatic conditions and catastrophic events."

According to Article 7 of the Regulations on the award of grants for demining of agricultural land from the Rural Development Programme of the Republic of Croatia for the 2014th-2020th period, published in the "Official Gazette" number 38/15, 31/16 - eligible beneficiaries are local (regional) self-government units in the Republic of Croatia where mine suspected agricultural land has been located.

Means of the public support amount up to 210 million kuna, and are provided from the European Union budget as well as the budget of the Republic of Croatia, out of which the EU, through the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development, accounts for 85% of the funds, while the Republic of Croatia participates with 15% share.
