Working meeting on the topic of the competition for the EAFRD support

A working meeting of the county coordinators for demining, the Ministry of Agriculture representatives, the Agency for payments in agriculture, fisheries and rural development and CROMAC representatives has been held at the Croatian Mine Action Centre headquarters, on the occasion of tender announcement for applications regarding the support from European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) and grant for "Demining of agricultural land" concerning the Rural development Programme of the Republic of Croatia for the 2014-2020 period.

In the introductory part of the meeting, the assistant directors of CROMAC, Neven Karas and Tomislav Ban, gave an outline on the last year's implementation regarding the demining of agricultural areas financed by EAFRD. To recall, it concerns the ten projects with a total area of 25.3 square kilometers, with the total value of 172.5 million kuna, in Lika - Senj, Sisak - Moslavina, Osijek - Baranja, Brod - Posavina and Karlovac County. Current implementation of the above mentioned activities is at 85.5%.

Draen Svenjak from the Ministry of Agriculture has familiarized the representatives of counties, which are in accordance with the Regulations on the granting of aid for demining of agricultural land, the eligible beneficiaries, with the application procedures for support from the EAFRD, while Ana imi from the Paying Agency for Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development introduced them with the public procurement procedures for demining and pointed out client errors that were spotted during last year's review procedures and evaluation of submitted bids.

Croatian Mine Action Centre, according to its competences, has prepared the documentation for counties which they need in order to compete at the respective tender, opened until 3 June 2016.
