Official visit to the Republic of Colombia


The CROMAC and CROMAC-CTRO delegation, represented by Ms. Đurđa Adlešić, President of CROMAC Governing Council, Mr. Zdravko Modrušan, CROMAC Director, and Mr. Tomislav Vondraček, Center for testing, development and training Ltd. advisor, held a meeting on 30th of May 2018, with Senator Uribe Velez and DAICMA representatives.
Among other things, the Colombian side expressed great interest in cooperating with the Republic of Croatia and its Mine Action stakeholders, especially in the terms of EOD 1-3+ training, testing and certification of all resources used in demining.
On 31st of May 2018, the delegation held a meeting with the Vice-president Oscar Naranjo, whose Office is in charge of demining in the territory of the Republic of Colombia and directly manages DAICMA. The Vice-president expressed great interest in wider cooperation with the Croatian mine action system, especially in the terms of mine victims rehabilitation, education and training, and promised that the signing of the Agreement between DAICMA and CROMAC will happen as soon as possible.
On the same day, the delegation held a meeting with the Vice-minister for Multilateral Affairs, Adrian Mendoza La Cancilleria (Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Colombia). During the conversation, among other things, it was concluded that there is a need for even deeper cooperation.
At the request of Ms. La Cancilleria, representatives of the Republic of Croatia held a meeting with the Deputy commander of DIRAN, Antinarcotics Directorate, who had expressed a great interest for the cooperation in the field of humanitarian demining, particularly EOD 1-3+ trainings and Non-Technical aerial survey.
