Demining project in the Tulove Grede Area Completed
The demining and mine search project "Areas in the wider area of the Town of Obrovac, and the Municipality of Jasenice» which includes mine clearance of the Tulove Grede area in the Nature Park Velebit, has been successfully completed. The total project area amounts to 202.530 m2 and the works worth 2.266.818.93 kunas were executed by the company Centurion Ltd. from Sisak. The particularity of this project is the fact that it will partly be financed by funds raised during the campaign "Neminovno» that was jointly launched by the Croatian Radio, the company Outdoor Akzent Ltd. and CROMAC in collaboration with foundation Croatia without mines.
Parallel to billboard campaign, there is the action of raising funds for demining of Tulove Grede promoted in the radio shows of the Second Program of the Croatian Radio. Thanks to the efforts of donors such as the Principality of Monaco and Italy, but also many individuals such as the ones taking part in the campaign of a radio show ‘’Vikendica’’ on the Second Program of the Croatian Radio, part of mines has been removed from the territory of Park of Nature Velebit but a problem of mines still remains on the 46 km2 area of this Nature Park.
