4th Session of the Extended Cabinet of Governors in the International Lions Club Association, District 126, Croatia


On 21st and 22nd April 2012, in the Solaris Hotels Resort in Šibenik, hotel ''Ivan'', there was the 4th session of the extended Cabinet of Governors of the Lions Club International, District 126 – Croatia. The session was attended by Mr. Dubravko Krušarovski, head of the CROMAC Regional Office Osijek and this year's chairman of the Lions Club ''Beli Manastir''. The official session was also attended by the professor Jusuf Šehanović, this year's Governor of the Association of the Lions Clubs of Croatia with members of the extended cabinet. The same session was attended by the representatives of Lions Regions, chairmen and secretaries of different Lions Clubs as well as chairmen of the Committees.
Besides regular points of agenda, the session participants reported about the work and activities of the Demining Committee within the Lions Clubs Association. In accordance with the adopted Plan, the Committee was actively involved in raising people’s awareness of the mine problem, leaning on the Lions Clubs branch offices and CROMAC Regional Offices and their traditional action ‘’April, month of protection against mines’’ as part of which the Lions Clubs were involved in the distribution of promotional materials in the mine-affected counties of the Republic of Croatia.
The participants of the 4th session spoke of the initiative for raising demining funds as well as the possibility of active engagement of Lions Clubs from all over the world in the above-mentioned initiative.
